I just wanted to send out a quick note in regards to Serpents and Doves. Within the next week I will be moving all content over to my new site: Ink Epiphanies. I have decided to convert Serpents and Doves into my digital portfolio, though I will leave a copy of all the current posts at Serpents and Doves for the next month. Anything new will be posted at I.E. with tutorials, design program descriptions, historical information and, hopefully, interviews.
Just to give you the heads up, be sure to keep your eye on Digital Fashion Design. It is a brand new site (literally) devoted the use of computer applications in apparel design and production. The owner of the site is a talented instructor in adobe photoshop and illustrator. He has taught multiple classes on the subject, created design podcasts, and researched the integration of digital podcasts to augment classroom teaching. DFD will have two areas of emphasis: the use of digital technology for design related tasks and the complexities of designing in the current social environment.
For those of you who are students this will be a wonderful addition to your studies, and to those of you who design outside of school I guarantee this will be an excellent resource to learn about the current world of fashion design.
